RANCHecker is a Blender Add-on developed by the RANCH to help you prepare your project(s) before uploading it to the RANCH.


1. Download RANCHecker archive.

2. Open Blender and go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.

3. Use the Install option and select the zip archive directly.


4. Load the Add-on.


5. RANCHecker is now installed, you can use it from the toolbar in the 3D view.


Prepare your project

  1. If needed only, include referenced or linked external scenes into your main scene,
    (This may increase a lot the size of your scene, please save it under a new name.)
    • Select all
    • Objects → Relations → Make Local → All
  2. Use the functionality:
    • File → External data → pack Ressources (or check Automatically Pack Ressources)
    • File → External data → pack linked libraries
  3. Save your scene
  4. Select the directory where your archive will be generated with the “Destination” option, then click on the Create Archive button, it will check your scene and the assets, then create a .vub archive file with all the needed files.
  5. Eventually, you can upload this .vub file (your project) to the RANCH!
